Shannon Smith
Shannon, originally from Lindon, Utah, earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology from Brigham Young University, where she gained experience as an Organic Chemistry lab assistant and Anatomy and Physiology teaching assistant. She later completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado, where her training emphasized inclusive, team-based primary care. Her capstone focused on the benefits of continuous blood glucose monitoring for managing blood sugar and supporting weight loss.
Shannon’s medical experience spans dialysis care and clinical rotations across Oregon, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. She is passionate about providing empathetic, patient-centered care that empowers individuals to achieve their health goals.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys mountain biking, skiing, horseback riding, pottery, and cooking. She treasures time spent with her husband, family game nights, and caring for her growing collection of plants. Thrilled to join Kirkpatrick Family Care, Shannon is excited to contribute to a team that prioritizes excellence and community impact.
