Doris Fapohunda

MA, MSPAS, PA-C

Originally from New Jersey, Doris spent her formative years in Nigeria, where she learned her native language and culture and witnessed firsthand the effects of health disparities and the power of education to empower patients. Her passion for health promotion and supporting underprivileged communities stems from these early experiences in childhood.

From her academic years to professional career, Doris has participated in many volunteer and advocacy efforts focusing primarily on underserved populations. Seeing widespread health illiteracy regarding mental conditions, their impacts on physical health and access to care, Doris decided to study psychology, later earning a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, and a second Master’s Degree in physician assistant studies from Saint Elizabeth University.

When not working, Doris enjoys visiting local art and music venues, shooting photography, travelling, reading and doting on her nieces and nephews. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with friends on game night, going to the movies and exploring new ways to be creative.
